Our attorney prepares the documents and records the mortgage. The property is inspected, a list of repairs are prepared and the property is appraised "subject to" the listed repairs being made. The money for repairs are held by you or escrowed with your attorney until completed. Rehab loans are for a one year term and are usually paid off in 3 to 6 months.
